Individual Pension Plan assets recorded a 12.8% growth in April

The good performance of the stock market indexes in April, both nationally and internationally, has once again generated another notable revaluation of the portfolios of the Individual Pension Plans, which put their assets at 84,903 (2,915 million euros more than at the end of 2020).


In year-on-year terms, the assets of the Plans grew by 12.8% (10,340 million euros more than in the same month of the previous year).

In the long term, the Pension Plans continue to record an average annual return (net of expenses) of 3.1% and, in the medium term (10 and 15 years), they present a return of 3.4% and 2.2%, respectively, in addition to presenting positive returns in all periods, especially at 1 year, where the average return net of expenses and commissions reaches 12.8% per year. Equities continue to offer very high returns, reaching 9.6% over 5 years and 33.8% in one year.

The estimated volume of contributions and benefits in April would be: contributions of 170 million euros and benefits of 202 million euros, bringing the net benefit volume for the month to 32 million euros.
